Welcome and introductions

Floral Backdrop –Sean will take students through unique methods he uses to create floral backdrops that could be used for editorial work, a stage production, as a backdrop for a bridal table, media wall and many more. He will reveal tips and techniques to gain dimension in the composition and how best to use colour.

Using Found Objects – Aleksandra will demonstrate how to achieve a beautiful and impactful arrangement using found objects and how you can use readily found structures to create amazing installations.

Lunch is delicious and nutritious bite to sustain us as our focus is learning.

#NOFloralFoam Techniques – Jardine is passionate about trying to minimize the environmental impact of her events and chooses to reduce waste wherever possible. She will take students through various methods of foam free installations, demonstrating how best to achieve light and airy work secured in ways as efficient as foam whilst also being reusable.

Student Collaboration “Mystery Box Challenge” – Students are invited to collaborate and create a striking floral installation in teams using the “Mystery Box”- a secret collection of florals hand selected by Sean, Aleksandra and Jardine. When all the elements are revealed you’ll work as team in your group to design and create something magical from your secret ingredients. There will be one on one time for each student to discuss specific aspects of floristry with the three teachers and you will learn tips and techniques to gain dimension in the composition and how best to use colour and form whilst getting hands on experience and assistance in creating their collaborative masterpiece. We will also serve a beautiful cheese board with Logan wines to keep the inspiration flowing.

Photography Session - In the afternoon we will have a professional photographer for students to have their work photographed for their portfolio . Mr Cooks’ stunning Alexandria studio with gorgeous white walls and coloured styling boards to shoot against.

We prefer the day to feel open and conversational, students are encouraged to ask questions throughout the day. Between the three teachers we offer a wealth of knowledge and different skill sets that we are excited to share with our students. A wonderful part of the day is connecting with the three teachers and students from all over Australia and the occasional international student, forming bonds with like minded creatives.

 Numbers are very limited.

We also offer a PAY IN INSTALMENTS option for those who would like to take some time prior to the workshop date to pay off their place. This means that you can arrange with us, to split the cost of the Workshop over a number of payment dates ( with final payment required before the date of booking). If you would like to discuss this option, please do get in touch via e-mail hello@floralmasterclass.com
